Learn from the experts in a fun and welcoming setting!
We are excited to welcome some language experts from La Trobe University's Department of Languages and Cultures to the gallery for a series of fun, interactive workshops on language and identity. Participants will move through four different activities that take a creative approach to communication. Using drawing and other fun activities, participants will consider gesture, pronunciation, politeness and identity in a friendly, welcoming environment.
Activities will be appropriate for all adults and children over 10 years old.
Esyllt Angharad Lewis
Mae'r artist a'r parablydd Esyllt Angharad Lewis yn archwilio sut mae iaith, celfyddyd weledol, a hunaniaeth Gymreig yn croestorri yng ngwaith artistiaid a chydweithfeydd Cymreig fel Grŵp Beca. Mae ei sgwrs yn archwilio sut mae mapiau, iaith, a delweddaeth yn llunio'r ffordd rydym yn canfod Cymru, ei hanes, a'i diwylliant, ac yn ystyried rôl rhywedd, gwladychiaeth, a mynegiant artistig yn y broses hon. Archwiliad sy'n ysgogi meddwl o iaith weledol, hunaniaeth genedlaethol, a gwrthwynebiad creadigol yng nghelf gyfoes a hanesyddol Gymreig.
